Superb Regional Event on

Telecommunications

 

 

Zagreb, July 7th 2006.  Regional telecom leaders gathered in Zagreb to discuss the latest issues in Telecom industry. The conference was organised by EastEuro Link and endorsed by Croatian Ministry of the Sea, Tourism, Transport and Development. Participants from more than 10 European countries expressed their contentment for the conference organization, choice of speakers and supreme networking opportunities.

H.E. Drazen Breglec, State Secretary of Transport and Communication from Croatia gave welcome address on behalf of Croatian Government to open the event. 
Government representatives from Croatia, Slovenia and Italy presented the state of telecommunication in telecom sector in their countries which was excellent platform for the following regulatory panel. Very interactive atmosphere showed that regulatory framework is one of the most important segments in telecom industry. From the perspective of European Commission, countries implementing European Regulatory Framework in an effective and pro-competitive manner attract most investments. The conference was perfect opportunity to learn what has been done in the region to promote sustainable private sector investments in emerging markets.

The second conference day was opportunity to learn about new technologies. The new communication landscape could be seen through the presentations of new services offered both driving profitable growth and delivering value to the end user.
