The conference was endorsed by the Croatian Ministry of the Sea, Tourism, Transport and Development. H.E. Drazen Breglec, State Secretary, welcome addressed the participants on behalf of the Ministry wishing them successful work and pleasant stay in the Croatian Capital.
Mr. Petar Cavlovic, President of Telecommunication Association within the Croatian Chamber of Commerce joined him in welcoming the participants on behalf of the Croatian Telecom Community.

The official conference programme brought insights into the 2006 Review and the Revision of the TVWF Directive in light of the 12th Implementation Report, presented by Mr. Zdenek Vanicek, Member of EastEuro Link Telecom Advisory Board and the President of the Czech Association of Competitive Communications. Together with the national regulators from the region who followed, he offered wealth of information on regulatory issues both from the European perspective and the perspective of accessing countries. |

Wide array of topics covered included case study of the recent Telekom Srpske privatisation. Ms. Jelena Milenkovic from Synergy Capital offered regional market overview and significant facts on this successful privatisation which is to be concluded by June 2007. |

The conference participants were also offered a look to the future of telecommunications which seems that has already begun. IP environment offers a variety of possibilities for most of the players in the telecom business which was also included in the conference programme and different approaches examined. Market leaders such as TelliaSonera International Carrier, Polycom and Avaya took part in the conference offering new solutions and perspectives. The development of the broadband services in the region was also discussed through the presentations from Ericsson Nikola Tesla and Nokia – Siemens Networks representatives. Finally, new models from the Microsoft perspective, Cisco and DARS for the official programme closure of the two day event.
